The Report of the Annual Meeting hosted by the National Eye Institute in the United States has been released

On March 29th, The report titled "Stem cell sources and characterization in the development of cell-based products for treating retinal disease: An NEI Town Hall report," which covered the content of the annual meeting hosted by the National Eye Institute (NEI) was published on Biomedcentral.com. 

This report is part of the strategic plan recently presented by NEI, which focuses on stem cell technology as one of the priority research areas for the next five years. 

Dr. Sally Temple, who served as the Chief Scientific Officer of Luxa Biotechnology and as the President of the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR), presented at the annual meeting on the topic of "Tissue‑derived and pluripotent stem cell‑derived cells for retinal repair" and introduced the ongoing clinical trials of Adult RPESC-RPE cells for the treatment of dry age-related macular degeneration.
